This is a hands-on workshop, bring your favorite clipper and gloves! We will collect seeds at the rear area of the Woodside Elementary School. This is a unique opportunity to view and interact with this restoration project initiated and made possible by kindergarten teacher, author and Wild Ones member, Peter Dargatz. There are patches of restored prairie, mature native trees and a playground creatively constructed using natural materials. Peter has also invited us to his property nearby to collect additional seeds. The plant list includes, milkweeds, boneset, joe pye weed, asters, goldenrods, wetland rushes and more. You may leave with seeds and the remaining seeds will be shared at our Seed Pallooza in November and will donate any leftover seeds back to the school. A registration link will be provided. The address will be shared with registered members and guests the day before.
