This is a hands-on workshop, so bring your favorite clipper and gloves! We will collect seeds in the rear area of the school with teacher, author, and Wild Ones member, Peter Dargatz. This is a unique opportunity to become familiar with full-grown plants and the seeds they produce. There are patches of restored prairie, mature native trees, and a playground creatively constructed using natural materials. Peter has also invited us to his nearby property to collect additional seeds. The plant list includes milkweeds, boneset, Joe-Pye weed, asters, goldenrods, wetland rushes, and more. You may leave with seeds, and the remaining seeds will be shared at our Seed Palooza in November. We will donate any leftover seeds back to the school. The address will be shared with registered members and guests the day before.
